WE ARE OPEN!!!!
FOR VIDEO CONSULTATIONS
We are open for video consultations for your gynecological problems. Please book
appointments as you normally would through the website. Appointments are usually
available the same day.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. How does the video consultation work?
This is similar to a face to face consultation. We will assess you via a video chat, your Identity will be confirmed, and your
problems will be discussed. We will then arrive at a diagnosis based on medical history and available reports, and decide if
any further investigation is necessary.
2. What if further investigation is deemed necessary?
We have teamed up with Thisismy (https://www.thisismy.co.uk/) where you will have a scan appointment organized at the
earliest, if that is what you require. If you require blood tests, physical examinations, or swabs, we will organize a face to face appointment with adequate social distancing precautions to minimize risk. We strongly advise that only one person
3. What is the cost?
Our normal consultations are face-to-face and the fee for this is 150 pounds. During the period of restrictions due to the
pandemic, video consultations offer a very useful substitute.
Not everyone can be assessed fully with a video-consultation. If this is the case, you will be invited for a clinic appointment
and there will be a further charge of 105 pounds for this. Any additional tests required will incur additional charges, and
these can be discussed at the video consultation.
4. What if I need medication?
We have teamed up with Lees Road Pharmacy, Manchester, who will receive your prescription electronically. They will then
call you, confirm your identity, take payment over the phone, and arrange for delivery of medication via courier after
ensuring that the transaction is secure.
5. Can I not have a face to face consultation in the first instance?
Face to face consultations in the first instance are not advisable given the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, and is likely
to put yourself and our staff at risk. We therefore do not encourage this option. We have moved to video consultations for all
patients in the first instance, and this we have found is the best option for everyone involved.
